I recently released a collection made out of mainly repurposed and/or vintage materials. Here’s a small lookthough:
As you can see this is a bit more substantial collection than I’ve recently done – quite a bit more pieces. I think making each item in some way unique really helps my creativity and boots the productivity of the releases, so I might use this way in the future. I’m already acquiring materials for the second release of Second life, so stay tuned, if you missed out on the first.
The next one to follow will finally be the final release of The Orchard. The interest will show if I need to do this release in two parts or just one will be enough.
Here’s a quick recap of past events along with pieces, specially released for each of them. Work has been bountiful, so there’s been little to no time to update socials and this news section. I will try my best to update better in future. I have a blogpost about this happening this year outside of this update coming up, so I will explain more there.
Gramarye was one of the last 2020 event and it was everything I like! With the stressful time I had little time to enjoy the event itself, but, thankfully, BeayAreaKei have uploaded most of the panels in their youtube channel!
For this event I tried my best to create themed looks and even made several more Lover’s eye belt versions, including a demon one
It was actually really fun creating looks for a specific theme and I tired my best to do it for the future events, too.
Royal Vegas online followed Gramarye, but I’ve already written about it and will go on to the first event of the year 2021 – Garnet Geateu! It was a Valentines/Galentines day themed event.
I created a couple of new prints like the Teapot print in pink and the ‘Birds’ print, that was origianlly a William Morris design (I just altered it for print purposes and added a red colorway to the original blue).
and I also brought back some of the original first release Old Master’s prints – ‘Afternoon tea’ and ‘A humorous tale’.
HelloGalaxy! was the most recent event, just finished yesterday! It was the very first online event organized by Hellocon Ry group and was really fun and made me miss the irl events and familiar faces! ♥
I made ‘Supper Massive Caledioscope’ print specifically for this event and was super excited to finally find use for some material, that have been waiting for their time to shine – the Colors of Space allover prismatic/tiedie-like soft mesh print and the black tulle with silver glitter, that felt perfect for the space theme. I loved the design for Valentina dress I made for Garnet Gateu, so I recreated it in all black.
I don’t have any new events planned currently aside from Domus Reginae, that will be at the very end of the year, but I will do my best to update as soon as I plan to have any. I’ve actually created a small section in the shop, where all past and upcoming events are visible neatly in order. you can view that here.
The orchard will be finally released again on 15th of January.
I’m currently working on a new website, so hopefully the release will be open on that rather than the usual tictail or etsy shops. This information will be provided, when the release opens up.
For now, I’d like to share a small inspiration video for the release:
Thank you to Annija Pumpure for filming and partially editing the video as well as my lovely model Endija.
(This is a follow up to a newsletter, so if you haven’t seen it (which you probably should sign up for -> http://eepurl.com/xCOt), but if you have, here’s the design breakdown!)(more…)
I am so glad to finally share the shop I’ve been working on for months! I knew I wanted to add another shop for a while now and I eventually want to gather everything under “one roof”, so to speak and make a website, but that it still to come (maybe by the end of the year.. *fingers crossed*). EMIM was invited to take part in Harajuku Culture Association’s lolita convention Frillfest in Sweden and we got another chance to take part in our second fashion show! (more…)
This year EMIM had the amazing oportunity to travel for an event, which was Hellocon in Helsinki. It was the very first abroad even ever attended as an indie brand as well as my own personal first to attend a lolita event. Eat Me Ink Me also got to take part in it’s very first fashion show! (more…)
